The Sonoma County Alliance is a coalition of business, agriculture, labor and individuals organized to encourage a healthy economy, to maintain a sound environment, to protect private property rights and to promote a responsive political process.
The Sonoma County Alliance accomplishes these goals through public and member education and through advocacy to decision-makers.
What it does:
- Works to influence government decisions affecting the economy.
- Seeks realistic approaches to land use ordinances and issues.
- Initiates and supports action to reduce non-essential government spending.
- Promotes conservation and effective use of natural resources.
- Advocates farmland protection and retention of a sound land inventory.
- Strives to meet the transportation, housing, water supply and infrastructure needs of the County.
- Educates members, decision-makers and the general public on issues of public concern.
Who are its members
Membership in the Sonoma County Alliance is open to individuals, organizations and business firms. All share a mutual desire to pull their diverse talents together in an effort to put order and strength to their energies, thus making membership in the Alliance a tangible investment in the present and future welfare of Sonoma County.
