Purpose The Sonoma County Alliance Community Engagement & Safety Reward Fund is a County-Wide program sponsored by the Sonoma County Alliance, a membership organization comprised of Business, Agriculture, Labor and Individuals. Contributions to the fund are made voluntarily by Alliance Members and community residents who have a strong interest in making our streets and neighborhoods safe and free of violent criminals and gang organizations. This community safety program provides a monetary reward to assist local law enforcement and the District Attorney’s Office to in solving violent crimes. | Achievements |

The Sonoma County Alliance Board of Directors oversees the fund which is generated by fundraising activities approved by the Board of Directors in addition to voluntary contributions from the SCA membership and the general public.
SCA leadership works in partnership with local law enforcement agencies to offer this reward fund. It is used to assist in the arrest of violent felons and participants in unlawful weapon possession use, hate crimes, vandalism, thefts, hit and run, and other serious crimes. Rewards are made available when requested from local law enforcement agencies for any illegal activity that is believed to be warranted. The goal is to expedite the apprehension of violent criminals.
Rewards
The law enforcement agency offers a reward through a press release and other media outlets. Their press release includes the following language: “A reward up to $2,500 is being offered by the Sonoma County Alliance Community Engagement & Safety Reward Fund. This reward is for information leading to the arrest of the suspect or suspects involved in the illegal activity (description)”.
Informant and Reward Information
Anyone with information or questions regarding a specific reward must contact the law enforcement agency involved in the particular offense about any reward offering. The local law enforcement agency determines what crimes to offer a reward. The Sonoma County Alliance has no input or involvement with what crimes are selected for a potential reward. The Alliance will not communicate with any potential rewardee in any manner at any time, and will refer every question to the agency offering the reward.
