Executive Director, Brian Ling
Brian is the Executive Director of the Sonoma County Alliance a coalition of business, agriculture, labor, and individuals organized to protect private property rights, to encourage a healthy economy, to maintain a sound environment, and to promote a responsive political process. Prior to his affiliation with the Alliance, Brian had a 26 year career as CEO with the Reliance Trailer group of companies, employing as many as 400 throughout the western United States.
His primary role as the Executive Director is to represent the Alliance throughout the entire Sonoma County community. The Executive Director will participate in numerous community groups, business associations, and a variety of events involving locally elected officials. The Executive Director not only follows issues in front of the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors, but also the issues being discussed within the nine city councils of Sonoma County.
In addition to managing the business of the Sonoma County Alliance, Brian is also responsible for the coordination of the monthly General Membership Meeting (GMM), as well as the regular meetings of the Board of Directors, Executive Committee, and the political action committee, SCAPAC.
Currently Brian is a member of the Rotary Club of Windsor and the Summit State Bank Advisory Board. Brian has held leadership positions with the S.C. Workforce Investment Board, the S.C. Manufacturing Group, the General Plan Advisory Committee for the Town of Windsor, Active 20-3- #50, and the Truck-Trailer Manufacturers Association. He is a graduate of Leadership Santa Rosa (class V), and has been a participant in numerous sub groups developed by the Sonoma County Economic Development Board.
Brian is a Sonoma County native and 4th generation Californian. He graduated from Cardinal Newman High School and earned a B.S. in Industrial Technology from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Brian and his wife Debbi have two boys Brent and David.
